Tebughna Foundation has been awarded an ANA Grant for Capacity building. We are working with the Native Village of Tyonek on this grant for technical learning and the response has been astounding. So far, we have had BIA Providers, Lands Strategic Planning Training and will soon have the Financial Management training in Tyonek.
Spring students began their college courses in January. Our next deadline for University applications will be on July 1, 2017. There is not a deadline for Vocational, except that we need 30 days for the application and your start date.
For the second year in a row, Tebughna Foundation has been involved in Fur Rondy events, we held our Fiddle dance on March 3, 2017 at the Hard Rock Café in Anchorage, the turnout was good and we had a good foot stomping time rocking out with Marc Brown and the Blues Crew and Gary Friends. Muddle Puddle also sat in with the band and had a great jam session on his harmonica. We also had the pleasure for two years in a row of handling the blanket toss, this year it was at the Fur Rondy Fair Grounds on February 25, 2017. We are excited about being a part of this event and look forward to doing it again next year. Tebughna Foundation will officially be a part of the Fur Rondy agenda.
Our next big event will be Tebughna Foundation Golf Tournament, on June 5, 2017 at the O’Malley on the Green. Get your early bird prices now to join the tournament and loads of fun, hopefully in the sun!! Rain or shine, we will be there to play our hearts out for Tebughna Foundation. Keep an eye out for the flyer for this upcoming event.
